Ever since our establishment in 2016, AAHK has been dedicated to providing underprivileged Hong Kong students with free university guidance mentorship to help them better access educational opportunities in the UK that may have initially seemed out of reach. For this academic year (2023 entry), we admitted 95 students to our mentorship scheme, helping around 40 of them to apply for the University of Cambridge.
Cambridge: We are proud to announce this year 5 of our AAHK mentees have received offers for cambridge for the following subjects: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Mathematics, Mathematics with Physics, and Natural Sciences (Physics). In total, 18% of our mentees this year were able to successfully obtain offers from Cambridge, which is 50% higher than the average admission rate in Hong Kong. In addition, this year 2 out of 5 of our mentees (40%) were able to obtain an offer for Medicine in Cambridge, which is tenfold the international applicant admission rate for Medicine (4%). We have also helped many of our mentees secure the initial interview for Cambridge, with 7 in every 10 mentees obtaining an invitation for the interview. Oxford: We are proud to announce this year 5 of our AAHK mentees have received offers for Oxford for the following subjects: English, Law, Mathematics, Psychology and Language, and Physics.
