Yes! There are no hidden costs. AAHK is a charity and all mentors and committee members are doing this on a purely voluntary basis.

Apart from university admissions, our mentorship programme also covers scholarship applications. As the only organisation in Hong Kong providing mentorships for scholarship applications, our dedicated team has immense experience in helping you navigate complicated scholarship application procedures. Services we provide include (but are not limited to) information sessions and sharing for specific scholarships, scholarship application form and personal statement feedback, as well as scholarship interview training. These services are all provided by current scholars!

We understand that the related expenses (IELTS, entrance examinations, etc.) of enrolling in a UK university will impose a significant financial burden on some students. In view of this, starting in 2022, AAHK will provide financial assistance to students in need, helping them subsidise most of their UK application fees in order to reduce the financial burden on students’ families. For example, we previously funded a mentee’s travel expenses to Singapore to attend an interview session for her Veterinary medicine course application. We have also subsidised all the application costs of a mentee on Full School Textbook Subsidy, which amounted to over 6000 HKD.
